Comments about the L1® System
Sound we get with this system is amazing. Quick and easy to set up and take down. Much preferred to old style FOH and monitors with backilne. Got rid of 4x12’s etc and use small combos and modelling amps plugged straight into T1’s

Hi Guitar9,
Thank you for joining the Forum.
I went to your website. It looks and sounds like you put on a great show.
Who plays the PRS?

Hello Guitar9,
Thank you for telling us about your band DarkHorse.
A quick note to others: Bose does not recommend mounting anything to the L1® Cylindrical Radiator®s or the F1 Model 812 and F1 Subwoofer.
Hi ST,
Been lurking on the Forum for years since I got my first model 1 and have used the vast amount of info, advice and knowledge regularly to get our set up working well and we’ve slowly invested in more model 2’s, T1’s & B2’s etc over the past four years and so thought it was finally time to actually post something on here.
My old band used to run a full range PA with 6 speakers, 6 monitors, 2 power amps and a mixer along with backline of Vox AC30, huge bass rig and my old set up of mesa boogie triaxis rack, 4x12, acoustic amp etc and it took for ever to set up and knock down and was back breakingly heavy so when I discovered the Bose L1 for my new band it was such a relief. Very quick set up and knock down. 3 L1’s does everything the old PA, monitors and backline used to do and the sound is better I think. I now use modelling amps for my guitar and a synth so my own guitar gear fits into 2 small cases. Our Bass player had a Pod but now goes straight into the T1 and I’ve even persuaded our long time Marshall using rhythm guitarist to abandon his old dinosaurus valve rack and 4x12 in favour of a small light and more versatile H&K amp. We get a lot of compliments on how good and balanced our sounds is.
Both myself and the other guitarist use PRS guitars, amazing instruments. I’ve committed sacrilege by fitting a GK3 pickup to mine for the synth and VG99 though!!
Noted that I’ve been bad regarding the lights mounted on top but I’ve read all the posts on here about lights, guitar hangers etc and I do realise I’m taking a gamble on potential damage etc but as the lights are very lightweight LED’s and the weight is balanced each side and positioned direct over the top of the Radiator it seems to work well - just to note I altered the hanger that is available on eBay so that it sits on top of the radiator rather than over the back so therefore there is no weight offset over the radiator trying to unbalance it or cause it to fall. Again it means no stands for the lights, less stuff to haul to a gig and keeps everything nice and compact on stage, less cable running around!
“Knock Down” - LOVE that, a LOT!!
GREAT stuff - it’s encouraging to see a band using the original 1 Player = 1 Bose approach, JUST the way Cliff intended!! Excellent :-}
Keep rockin mates…

Hardly a sacrilege. I did it too. I think the L1® is the ideal system to share the VG99 with the audience.

Hi Guitar9,
nice to see rock/cover bands using L1’s.
BTW I just saw this on your Facebook page. Cooool. Are the seats actually able to be used safely as such?
Greetings from a Brit living in Germany
