Companion 3's not working with pc

I'm still getting the runaround from HP. MY Companion 3's series 2 are not recognized by my HP Desktop or HP laptop,  both are running Windows 10. I ran the troubleshooting program,  no problem.  I have audio through the built-in speakers.  The external or Bose icon never appears. Bose says the speakers are compatible. I'm at my wits end.

Can you try them out on another computer or friend's computer to see if they work?
