Compatible with Bose 700 Soundbar

I have a S1 Pro and looking into purchasing a Bose 700 soundbar for my Television.  I would like to verify that i connect the two together using the bose  for music in the house as well as on patio using the S1.  Thank you for any information.

cheers,

Unfortunately, no. The Soundbar 700 cannot share music with the S1 Pro.

The Soundbar 700 can share music with other Bose Smart Home Speaker  systems or the Bose Portable Home Speaker through your home network with the Bose Music app

The S1 Pro can share music with another S1 Pro or a SoundLink Revolve or SoundLink Revolve using Bluetooth with the Bose Connect app.

You might be able to use a third-party Bluetooth Multipoint transmitter to send a Bluetooth signal to the Soundbar 700 and one S1 Pro.

Here's a link to Bluetooth Multipoint and Dual Device transmitters on Amazon.

I haven't tried this so I can't suggest a specific transmitter.

Hi Takefive,

Have you considered using the S1 connected to your television (then you wouldn't need the Soundbar)? Just a thought ...

Cheers

Just connected my s1pro to my soundbar 700 using an airport express and Apple airplay - works very well as you can adjust volume to each independently from the iPhone. Sounds great !!

Can I connect the soundbar 700 to a T8S Mixer so I can use my shure  microphone for YouTube karaoke?

Hey Sarvi,

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for joining us.

As the T8S only has analogue audio outputs (XLR, 1/4") and the Soundbar 700 only has a digital audio input (optical), you would not be able to connect the T8S directly to the Soundbar 700 system.

can you help me to do it, I have days trying to connect my s1 pro to my bar and I have not been able

Hi Alfredgb89!

As mentioned in ST - Pro's initial response above, grouping is not supported for the Soundbar 700 and the S1 Pro systems. I recommend checking the previous responses in this thread for possible alternative setups.
