Connect tv out to F1 812 for home use

When not using F1 812 for vocal performance, can I use it as TV speaker in a 10×15 room ?

Sure, if you are using a single F1 you can connect the TV analog output to the RCA inputs. Does your TV have an analog output (e.g., headphone jack)? If so, get a 1/8 Tip-Ring-Sleeve to RCA cable.

If your TV does not have an analog output (e.g., headphone jack), but it does have Bluetooth, you can get a Bluetooth receiver. Then connect the Bluetooth receiver to the RCA inputs.  That's a whole different subject.

You'll need 2 for stereo...

Interesting topic.......... I have an LG OLED C9 that is bluetooth and has an Optical Digital Audio Output and headphone jack. Any idea's for the best connection? I'd like to add, I have 2 F1's. Thanks ST, Ray

You've got several approaches:

  • Bluetooth
    • Most expensive, convenient (no physical connection to the TV), and likely to disappoint because you may notice latency (audio lags behind the video)
    • Your TV must support low-latency Bluetooth
    • Add a low-latency Bluetooth receiver
    • Connect the Left output to the left F1
    • Connect the Right output to the right F1
  • Headphone output
    • Use a 1/8 Tip-Ring-Sleeve to dual 1/4 inch (6.3mm) Tip-Sleeve adapter cable (ideally one you can split the 1/4 cables)
    • Connect the black (tip) plug to the left F1
    • Connect the red (ring) plug to the right F1
  • Optical to Analog converter
    • Get an optical to analog converter
    • You can use RCA to 1/4 inch (6.3mm) Tip-Sleeve cables or converters OR
      RCA cables
    • Connect the Left output to the left F1
    • Connect the Right output to the right F1

Thanks for the feedback. My TV indeed has a headphone out - so I will try this out.

Thank You ST!! As always, your help and time is sincerely appreciated!! Ray
