Connecting 3 to 4 Multiple S1 Pro's Together

I'm just wondering if it's possible to connect 3 or even 4 of the S1 Bose Pro's together I already have two and LOVE them and connect them together for shows of up to 150 people and they fill the room beautifully.

But for larger shows, I want to add a further 2 of them further up on either side of the room, to extend the sound, but without a mixer, in like a daisy chain (mono) setup.

There's no issues in just connecting the 3rd and 4th speakers like I would the second one is there? (Just making sure that connecting more than 2 would be ok, as the ease of no power, or mixer and just a cable between them is so easy).

Please let me know.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the interesting question.

Sure, go ahead and connect the 3rd and 4th systems. Please see the linked article below.

S1 Pro Daisy Chain

That’s an interesting setup. Would love to hear back as to how chaining that many S1s works out.

What signal sources will go into the chain? Are you starting with a mixer of some sort?

I'll keep you posted CityFolk, and let you know how it goes, I'm sure it will sound great.

Overall, my duo partner and I will have 6 of these and we'll use 4 of them in stereo via a mixer, 2 on each side daisy chained as per described.

But for my solo shows, I want to have a line of them, 2 on each far side and then another 2 in front or behind me a little bit on the ground to fill out the sound from the stage (and I might play around with there the front or behind 2 go, maybe down further on each side of the room off the stage).

I also use Sennheiser XSW-D wireless connectors from the Aux out to the in of the next speaker, so it then is "TRULY" a wireless setup, they're all within 20 mtrs of each other (and the XSW-D have a 75mtr range anyway) and I use a wireless headset and guitar and also run via Bluetooth from my iPad to the first S1 Pro.

So many people have commented on how great the sound is from only 2, so I can hardly wait to hear what 4 and then 6 will sound like in stereo.

I also have the L1 System 2 with the B2 Bass and Tonematch 8 for larger audiences and use that wirelessly also, it is the undisputed KING of sound that thing, but these little S1 Pro's have UNBELIEVABLE bass extension and are so portable and easy to setup, even for 300 people I think 6 of them in a line will absolutely kill it.

Keep you posted and thanks for the advice for connecting them in the article.

It is usual to delay the satellite speakers but you won't be able to do so without a mixer* so the sound will be compromised.

* Or a suitable delay unit, digital mixers usually have something suitable onboard, analogue desks not so.
