Connecting the Digitech Live 5 to t8s

I just received my t8s and have a hopefully simple question.  I'm a solo acoustic performer.  For the last few years I've been running the digitech live5 harmonizer through the t4s.  I ran it like this:  mic into line 1 in...line 1 out to digitech mic in.  guitar into line 2 in...out to digitech guitar in.  digitech main out into t4s channel 3 in.  this gave me control over my vocal level and guitar level and master level.  My question is thus:  How would that be hooked up to the t8s?  Since each channel doesn't have an 'out'?  Thanks!  (image is featuring the live 4)v4

It looks like you were using a T1.

As you know, the T8S does not have Preamp Outputs like the T1.

You can send the signals from T8S channels 1 through 8 to one or all of the Aux outputs (1, 2, 3, 4). To replicate what you did with the T1,

  • T8S channel 1 - connect your microphone
  • T8S channel 2 - connect your guitar
  • On channel 1 route the signal to Aux 1
    • Set the Tap to Dry After Preamp
  • On channel 2 route the signal to Aux 2
    • Set the Tap to Dry After Preamp
  • Connect Aux 1 out to the Digitech Mic In
  • Connect Aux 2 out to the Digitech Guitar In

See T8S Aux Outputs for details.

 Does that help?

Yes!  Thank you!  Also, good catch on my T1!

I know it's been awhile, but I am having a new issue.  When I set channel 1 to aux 1...and channel 2 to aux 2...they don't stay that way.  When I go back to channel 1, it's back to PAN.  Sometimes channel 2 is then somehow magically set to aux 1.  It's like they don't 'save' when I go between the two channels.  Also, I'm running into the L1 Model II.  Do I run connect to that via the t8s or the digitech.  I'm not sure which is my final 'out'...

Are you using the latest firmware?

T8S Aux Out example

Please follow along with the video in the article. Watch it through once to understand what we're doing. Then watch it again, pausing as necessary. Follow each step on your T8S.

Can you get the same results?

Also, I'm running into the L1 Model II.  Do I run connect to that via the t8s or the digitech.  I'm not sure which is my final 'out'...

The T8S is your final output.
