Question...I have a Tonematch 4 and Tonematch 8s. Am I able to connect either of these Tonematch devices to another mixer? I have a Yamaha MG10XU that I use for remote radio broadcasting. If I'm playing at an event with live music and using either of the Tonematch devices can I connect them to the mixer? If so can you provide detail on how best to do that?
Are the Bose mixers driving sound sources like a L1 or are you just using the T4/8 mixers into the Yamaha to a sound source? Will you need to drive 2 separate sound outputs from each mixer?
Basically I'd use the tone match on stage with mics and guitars plugged in and the Tonematch plugged into the L1. I'd like to take bring the live sound from the tonematch into the Yamaha that is connected to the computer and being used for radio broadcasting.
The T1 has an aux output routed to the main program out which can be set 'pre-main output'. Feed that to a balanced line-input on the Yamaha.
T4s/T8s, use the headphones output and feed that to a line input on the Yamaha. The headphones output level will not change if you adjust the main output.
Hope that helps.

So I have the T1...so Aux out into the Yamaha say channel 3 for example. Where do I set the 'Pre-Main Output'? I see Aux on the dial, and when I look at it it says Ch 4/5. Do I loose a channel when doing this?
Hi B-Man,
Please see this article
This is equally applicable to the T4S.

If you want to send the live mix to the Yamaha MG10XU then:
On T4S, when you connect the ToneMatch port (Right channel) to the L1 you have the T4S Main Outputs (a clone of what is sent to the L1). You can connect the Right output to the Yamaha MG10XU.
On the T8S, there are two pairs of analog inputs (XLR and 1/4 inch Tip-Ring-Sleeve jacks). The outputs of the XLR jacks and 1/4 inch jacks are identical.
If you are using the right 1/4 inch jack output for the L1, you can use the right XLR output for the the Yamaha MG10XU.
Does that help?

What about a T1?
Sorry B-Man what I said was a little bit misleading. To feed the AUX out with what is effectively the main output, you have to route ALL of the channels you are using to the AUX out.
So basically channels 1-4/5 have to be unmuted and set to one of the settings it offers.
Wish we could 'edit' a post afterwards!
@B-man, "To feed the AUX out with what is effectively the main output, you have to route ALL of the channels you are using to the AUX out." Is for the T1.
Picking up on St's advice which of course is correct... "On T4s/T8s, when you connect the ToneMatch port (Right channel) to the L1 you have the T4S Main Outputs (a clone of what is sent to the L1). You can connect the Right output to the Yamaha MG10XU." This give's you the advantage of a balanced feed to the Yamaha but I don't know if it can be routed "Pre-Master" or not without effecting left and right channels, meaning if you adjust the Master up or down it will effect the input to the Yamaha in the same fashion. Hence that's why I suggested the Headphones Output.

Yes.. I think the channel 1 to 4 Aux Out is 'MUTED' by default. Un-mute it, choose post Fader/post EQ/Post FX. Not sure I remember all of the options, I'm assuming you want the same as what the audience hears.
Awesome responses everyone I so appreciate all the helpful comments!

The T1 Master Output (1/4 inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve) is a clone of what you are sending to the L1 through ToneMatch port.
If you want a separate mix, use the Aux Output.
