Crestron - Inc/Dec WrongValue

Dear Sir,

An ESP00-II installation is returning wrong ASCII values for sequential inc/dec control from a Crestron interface.

Such as 20D, 21D, 22D, 23D, 24D, 25D, 26D, 3D, 34D, 4D, … for 1dB increments.

They are using AV3 Controller with the latest firmware.

Due to the missing values the % volume level shown on the interface becomes wrong. However the actual volume level does correspond to the increment as expected.

Is this a known issue or is there a programming method within Crestron that might be missing.

Thx

Dear Sir,

We received the following response from Crestron in response to this issue:

The problem that you are facing is in the module “Bose ESP Group Master Volume 1.1”. GMVolumeFB is conversion from hexadecimal value to integer. But this has been done by using “AtoI” function witch converting string to integer. This will work find when hexadecimal value is number for example hx81 but if hexadecimal value is for example hx8a the function “AtoI” will convert only number 8 to integer and ‘a’ will be cut. Please contact BOSE and let them now so they can fix this issue.

Please advice how to proceed.

Thanks
