CSD 5.9 Dante firmware & release notes

Hi,

Is there an ETA for when Dante firmware will be available in the Dante Updater Audinate Library?
Searching the Dante Library for Bose firmware return NO results whatsoever.

 

The current work-around seems to be manually adding dante firmware files to the Dante Updater "Imported" library.
(Which, for reference, can be found at "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Bose\ControlSpace 5.9\bin\Dante Firmware".)
However this method does not allow updating multiple devices simultaneously - had to update the 4 WP22BU at our office one by one.

 

Additionally, the release notes linked in the latest firmware are way outdated.
As seen in the images below, it goes to releasenotes of ControlSpace Designer v5.5.

And finally please upload a new version of the 5.9 release notes - selecting/copying/searching text is not possible in the current file.

Hi Joel,

 

Thank you for the updates.

The decision was made to exclude Dante firmware from the Audinate Library, as it could cause a problem for someone updating Dante firmware outside of an existing CSD firmware file. 

And Audinate doesn't allow for the ability to update Dante firmware on multiple devices at once using this method. 

 

The process is less intuitive, but it prevents a few potential issues. And Audinate discontinued their support for Firmware Update Manager (in the CSD Bin folder), but it will still work for Dante firmware updates as well. 

 

I've made the suggestion to engineering to add additional description of the process in the Dante firmware update pop-up windows..

 

As for the release notes file, this is known and is being fixed soon.
