CSD and HiRes PC Laptops

Hi all,

here is an issue I could find only after buying my new laptop.
It’s a Windows 10 Pro machine with a HiRes 3840x2160 integrated graphic card.
I found out that CSD 4.4.1 can’t handle high resolutions very well.
I attach three pictures at different screen resolution.
The CSD main window is ok with dimensions up to 1920x1080; for higher resolutions then:
- the main bar icons are messed up
- the names of the objects in the Device List become smaller and smaller if compared with the main bar Tab text
So using CSD becomes a real problem.
Our SW developers probably already know this.

Since I have the same problem with other software tools, at first I thought it was a Win 10 Pro problem, or a graphic driver problem, or a manifacture problem, so I contacted Microsoft, then Intel, then HP…
In the end I received this answer:

----
This is a problem with the specific application not scaling to 4K and high pixel densities correctly. This should be reported to the application developer. Windows 10 Anniversary Edition now offers better tools for the app developers to better handle the scaling process.
PCs today are being equipped with displays with increasingly high pixel densities, also referred to as dots-per-inch (DPI). The Surface Pro 4, for example, ships with a display that accommodates a 200% display scale factor. For applications that don’t handle dynamic display scaling, this means that the image of the application shown on screen would either be reduced by half when displayed on an external display or doubled (depending on which monitor was configured as the “main display” when the user logged into Windows). As the difference between the display scaling of monitors increases the blurriness of applications becomes more and more noticeable.

It’s annoying to change the graphic resolution settings each time I have to use CSD, so I hope this will be resolved with a new CSD version asap.

Thanks to all.
