Dead Speakers with crackleing on Quite Comfort 35 ii

Hello there i need help with my Bose Quiet Comfort 35 ii,

i use my headphones for 3 years now and they worked just fine. I plugged my aux cable in to hear music and i can't hear any sounds exapt for crackleing in extreme volume settings. In Bluetooth mode the same i can't hear any sound exapt for crackleing. I hope my speakers are not dead.

The cable i used is fine, i even used the cable from my sisters qc 35 ii to check if the cable is broken. Same thing there. I think the speakers are dead. No sound at all even on pc. Only crackle

Hello Sprudel,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your QC35 crackling when you try to play audio. Can I please confirm, is this with just one audio device or have you tested them with multiple? Also, as anything happened prior to this happening e.g. the headphones were dropped, they flashed a different LED to normal, they were stored in an attic?

Let's see if we can get this fixed with some troubleshooting. Could you please try the following steps and let me know how you get on?

1. Go to http://btu.bose.com on a computer and update your headphones software.
2. Perform a product reset, to do this, turn off the headset and wait 30 seconds and then plug the headset into a wall outlet using a USB charger, then wait 5 seconds. After that unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute once you have completed this turn the headset back on.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for the reply on my comment.

The Problem that I had was a dirty AUX port. So I tryed to get out some dirt out of the AUX port and now they work just fine. The dirt inside the port was preventing the contact from the AUX cable to the port. Now they thankfully work fine again. But when they first didn´t work i was quite scared, because they worked fine the day before.

Thanks for the fast reply again and nice greetings from Germany.
