What's the difference between Virtually Invisible 300 speakers and the new Surround 700 speakers? Are there sound quality upgrades? Seems like 700 surround can be paired up with ST300 soundbar.
They should be the same, I bought them yesterday from my country's BOSE agent and they told me that they are practically the same just rebranded. I also connected with my soundtouch 300 system. There is just a problem with the UFS20 series II stands as the sliding adaptor is a bit strange with a wrongly placed wire hole. However if you plan to install as wall mount or tabletop this should not be an issue.
Obviously you should re-confirm as I am not a bose support person. I just wrote from my experience
Hello sanghiraghav,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.
There is no difference in audio quality between the Virtually Invisible 300 and the Surround Speakers 700. However, the biggest difference is the 300 speakers have 180° sound projection and the 700 speakers have a full 360° sound projection.
It is also correct that the Surround Speaker 700 can be connected to the SoundTouch 300 Soundbar.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Warm regards,

Hi All,
I have VI 300 which connected with ST 300 but I dont feel much surround effect. the sound comes very low from those speakers. not sure if i have some faulty speaker and it works in same way. I have to pay attention to hear from background speakers.
I am thinking I should try with new surround speaker 700?
Thanks
Pankaj
Hi there and welcome to the Bose Community!
I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the audio quality of the surround speakers and would be happy to advise.
My suggestion would be to run the AdaptIQ audio calibration process again. When running this, please sit as far as possible from the surround speakers (or move these further back temporarily), as this will lead the system to balance the audio to be louder from these rear speakers.
If you're still unhappy with the audio quality, I would first suggest that you get in touch with Bose Support by selecting your country/region, then navigating to "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. They will be able to advise you if your speaker is faulty.
As far as the 700 surround speakers go, this would be your preference if you wanted to upgrade, although I would advise that you listen to these in a store first if you get the opportunity to ensure that you're happy with the sound quality they provide!
Additionally, if any member of the Community has personally swapped from one set to the other and has an comments to share, please chime in here!
Please let me know if you have any questions at all!

Why don't you turn them up louder?
You can use the SoundTouch app to control the rear speaker volume. By turning it on at 10, they would pretty much be on. Rear speakers are not designed as a normal speaker but only capture certain sounds to give a surround sound experience.
The movie should also be Dolby sound compatible I believe for a true surround sound, but I may be wrong. Anyways, I watched the Indian movie “Bhool Bhulaiya” thru Netflix and the experience was amazing with rear speakers. Or try finding any 4K movie or series like the hunt and you will notice the rear speaker sound. Hope this helps.
I would be interested in differences as well...
I have the same results as the previous post: The sound is quite weak. When watching movies, I have to move the speakers immediatly behind the seats for having at least a bit of surround sound feeling.
Yes. I did the adaptiq in different positions. It didnt help. I hope, that the new surround speakers would maybe increase the surround feeling?
I observed the same problem. Even with the highest volume of the rear speakers the sound is still very weak. If you dont sit immediatly in front of them, the sound is nearly not recorgnisable.
It would be great to have the possibility to manage the sound volume of the sound bar itself. By now it is only possible to manage bass etc. but not the volume of just the bar. If it would be possible, I could volume down the soundbar and volume up the rear. But for now I can only volume up the rear.
I also tried to do ADAPTIQ again n again but no difference.. I can feel some surround sound if I sit just near to small speakers.
Not sure if Bose is hearing this problem and release some s/w update to fix this issue. with out fixing this issue, i believe V1300 is purely waste of money.
I have seen better surround experience from some low cost speaker from some other manufactures.
