I own the QuietComfort 15 and QuietComfort 25 headphones and it's disappointing that the ear cushions do not last as long as I would like them to. About every 3 years, I have to replace the cushions. That wouldn't be a problem if the expense wasn't $43 (includes shipping) every time. My QC15 has now had 2 sets of cushions since I purchased them and will be the last set I buy for these. The QC25 (daughter uses these) is now starting to tear and disintegrate. Unlikely that I will replace those. I have a HyperX headset that is now 4 years old with 0 signs of this issue and I use them more because of work. Just as comfortable as the QC15 without the noise cancelling. Please BOSE, can you switch your ear cushions to something more rugged that will last 10 years. Thanks.
(I do not work for Bose)
I have been replacing the chusions on all my Bose headphones for years with third party and not directly from Bose and been quite happy and I am not personally concerned they last about 2 to 3 years.
Got my last pair for $12.99 (US) from Amazon though I have previously purchased on eBay as well. (Amazon is easier in case of returns). At this price - for me every 2 to 3 years is OK. The link below is the last pair I purchased. I am happy with them (purchase 11/12/20) but there are many competitors as well on both Amazon and eBay.

This is an acceptable solution. I didn't even think to look on Amazon. Was thinking these would only be available from Bose. Thank you. Will be getting replacement cushions for the QC25 today.
Glad I am not the only one who thinks Bose should do better about their ear cushion. I have the same issue on my QC35 ii.
Replaced mine once and within 2 years the cushion is now torn and I only use it to commute to work. I don't understand why Bose can't make them as rugged as possible given the headphone dont come cheap. Neither is the kit.
Bose definitely needs to do better. Disappointing for a great brand
Hugely disappointed that Bose are selling quality products with sub-standard cushions? ...the surface fabric falling apart and detaching from the retaining ring with only careful and infrequent use. Like they're deliberately bio-degradable. It seems i have wasted hard-earned on these headphones, and can't get hold of anyone who cares ...other than in selling me new products.
More "Booo" than Bose.
