I have a client with a Bose PM8500 running a mix of AMU105, MB210 and Sonance Pendant speakers
The installer never added any form of PEQ preset loading or pass filtering to the amp outputs, so all speakers were playing full range, and sounded terrible.
I've loaded the AMU105 and MB210 from the Bose .SEQ presets, but Sonance only supplies an .EQS file for DSP equalization. I've added a high pass, but can't for the life of me find anything on the net to convert the EQS file format to SEQ required by Control Space.
Can anyone help?
Thank you Arno.
You're correct, I didn't realise EQS format was proprietary to Sonance (explains why I couldn't find it!).
Looks like I need proprietory IOS only 'Sonarc' software to even open and look at the EQS file. At least then I can manually do a copy of the EQ.
[NB - I've accidentally marked my own reply as solution - please amend to your answer as I don't seem able to edit]
Hello Boma23,
You want to convert a file type from one brand to another.
As we do not know how Sonance created their file, it would be hardly impossible to convert it to a .seq file.
My advise is to open the .eqs file in the software of Sonance and enter the parameters into CSD and save it as a .seq file.

Arno
