External mixer with the L1 Pro 32

I’ve just ordered an L1 Pro 32 with a Sub 2 (excited!), what would be the best way to use an external mixer?

Congratulations on your purchase!  You will have a lot of versatility.

 

If you currently have a mixer you are planning to use, I would go for the simple approach:  Use a 1/4" TRS balanced cable into channel 3, leaving channels 1 and 2 available for use with other mics or instruments if needed.  Of course, you could connect to channel 1 or 2 as well.  (Those two channels will use either XLR or 1/4".)

 

If you don't have a mixer yet, a Bose T4S or T8S would be a great choice -- they can connect and be powered by the Tonematch cable, leaving all three of the analog inputs available.

 

Of course, there are so many mixers out there, with so many features, channels and price points, only you can determine your needs.
