Is the external charging cord designed to power the speaker while plugged in or just for charging, it seems that the speaker only runs on the battery and if it runs low will shut down while plugged into AC power. I have to wait for the battery to recharge before being able to operate it again. Also the optional charging base, which I dont own, will this power the speaker and bypass the battery? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

You should be able to use the SoundLink Revolve whilst it is charging. Have you tried powering it on, from off, while it's charging? Does the battery still drain?

When the battery does go dead i will power it on while plugged in to AC power and the speaker will say battery low and shut back off, it will not run off of AC power until battery has a sufficient charge.

The speaker isn't behaving as it should be. Let's reset the product by following these steps here, as well as trying a different power outlet to see if the same issue persists.
