F1 812 Limit LED on steady

I'm setting up a new pair of F1 812's.  The front LED stays on (blue) regardless of being set via the rear switch to Limit even when no signal is present.   Is this normal?   I'd expect it to be off unless hitting the limit threshold.

Hello Oneshort,

A steady blue LED is normal (indicates the loudspeaker is on). A pulsing blue LED would mean that the volume or input level should be reduced.

Hope that helps.

Hey Oneshort,

As jay_55 says, the front LED will always be lit to indicate power is on, unless the 'FRONT LED' switch on the back is set to 'OFF'.

The front LED will show steady blue, or a pulsing blue if the limiter is active.

Hope this helps!

Thanks folks.  Thast explains it.  Seems a bit backwards, but that may just be me.  I'd have prefered it be on when triggered to call my attention to it.  Not sure If I'd be watching for something to not be there, not that I expect to ever drive these that hard-  they're permanent FOH in an indoor bluegrass venue.

  I appreciate the quick responses.
