I was hired to provide sound for an outdoor concert where they would be using a generator for power. Right before sound check the military 31,000 watt generator burst into flames and the power cut out! Scrambling at the last minute the event director was able to come up with two other generators - a 4000 watt and a 3000 watt (I got the 4000 watt and the backline and lights ran off the 3000 watt...
Originally I had two 812 tops and two F1 subs hooked up... because I didn't want to add to any further issues I omitted one sub... so on the 4000 watt generator I ran the two 812 tops, one F1 sub (all of which I pushed pretty hard), my Presonus RM32AI rack mount mixer and my QSC PLD 4.2 1600 watt amp (for monitors). I didn't have one hiccup... all gear worked good. The F1 system, even with just one sub sounded phenomenal (I got tons of compliments) - and it was a packed tent with 200-300 people once the show got going!
So in short the F1 Systems flexibility and efficiency saved the day... my old JBL set-up wouldn't have been very happy in this situation.
Way to go Bose!
