New discussion for Jablon

I had initially posted a review on the F1 product page, I will repost here and update the review. To understand my perspective on this speaker I think it would be best to start from the beginning. As a DJ I do parties and weddings in small to large halls (100 - 250 people). * I started with the Bose L1 and 2 B1 subs. I always felt something was missing - mid-range punch and of-course, a so-so low end performance. * Then I moved on to 2 L1s Model II with 4 B1 subs. Not much of a difference. * I then swapped the 4 B1s with 2 B2 subs. I was amazed at the difference. The B2s increased the low end punch (bass) substantially but nothing close to the sound you’d hear in a club. You can hear the bass but won’t feel it. * Then I swapped the B2s with 2 EV ZXA1 subs. Now you are talking! Pheeew. I was almost there. The combination of the 2 L1 Model Il and 2 EV ZXA1 was awesome. But I was still missing the kind of Mid-range punch you’d hear in a club. * Then I purchased the F1 speakers. I THINK BOSE FINALLY GOT IT!! I have not tried them with F1 Subs. The F1 is clear, loud and has the mid-range clarity and punch you’d hear in any club. With the ZXA1 sub the sound and punch was unbelievable. Just did a wedding in a mid-size hall with about 125 guests using only 1 F1 and a ZXA1 and it felt like I had 2 sets of speakers. The flexible array of the F1 is a nice touch. The sound filled the whole room. Clear and punchy even though I did not turn it up much. The ZXA1 of-course did its thing. I’d assume that the F1 subs would be the same based on other reviews but I am comfortable with the ZXA1s.
UPDATE: One more good thing about the F1 speakers is versatility. Sometimes I have gigs with only speeches\lectures and little to no music. With the L1 I was forced to log the B2 subs and my mixer as well. With the F1 I would only need the F1 in full mode, plug in a microphone and an iPad and am done. Cool, right?
