F1 Subwoofer Issue - Rumbling Nose with Signal Light On

Hello there,

I'm looking for a solution to a strange issue with my F1 subwoofer. Lately, it began to act abnormally. When powered on without a signal cable connected, the signal light comes on and goes off irregulary, blinking at times. A rumbling noise also comes from the speaker cones when the level/volume is increased. When the level is at zero, there's no noise but the signal light keeps turning on and off.

In this condition, I cannot use it as the noise accompanies the bass notes, sometimes louder and I fear it will damage the sub beyond repair. I suspect it's an electrical issue rather than mechanical.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cecil

Hey Cecil,

Thank you for your post! This is quite unusual. What color is the signal LED when it is turning on and off?

Does this issue still occur if you connect the F1 subwoofer to a different power outlet? I recommend plugging directly into a separate wall outlet if possible, rather than using the same power strip being used for your other speakers.

Hi Dylan,

Thanks for responding.

I did change power sources and replace the power cords with the ones that worked properly with the other F1 sub. The problem persisted.

The signal light color is green which makes it even more strange.

Hope to get a solution.

Cecil

Hi Cecil,

If you've switched the cords and cables with your other F1 sub and the issue persists, this sadly looks like a fault with this unit in particular.

I recommend getting in touch with Bose customer support team to discuss available service options.

Hope this helps!
