PM8500/N Firmware v1.153
This release of PowerMatch amplifier firmware v1.153 addresses issues identified since the
release of firmware version v1.150. Also included in this release is a critical fix ensuring the
long-term operation of an internal hardware component.
This is a firmware update only, not a new release of the ControlSpace Designer software.
The installation utility will install the required firmware files within the ControlSpace Designer
software directory on the local hard drive.
We recommend using this release for all new installations and upgrading existing installations wherever possible.

Hi Rob,
Thank you for the announcement. I have a question about the new firmware. The issue of “Output Loss” Kyle posted has been fixed in this version?

Hi Rob,
Can we distribute only the pm8500_v1.153.frm and place it at location: “c://program files/Bose/ControlSpace3.1/bin” ?
This because not everyone has admin rights on their PC, so they might can’t install the exe file.
Hi Arno,
Sure, no problem… The installation utility was just intended to make it easier for people, but dragging the file to the \bin folder is fine too.
Best regards
Rob

Hi Leon,
I just tested it again, and it worked fine for me - so I think it might be an issue on your side…

Hi Stephen,
The starting good DOM is 2327. As you probably already know, this is indicated in digits 8-11 on the chassis (not carton!) serial number.

Hi Kakudo,
Yes, this release should address both the issues that Kyle posted:
PM8500/N Loss of output signal
PM8500/N ESPLink Channel Swapping
If you had previously encountered either of these issues we would love your feedback once the systems have been upgraded with the new firmware.
Best regards
Rob
