Am I correct to assume that the Sub on the Pro16 is basically identical to the Sub2 - 100 watts 10"x18" racetrack driver ? Is there anything about the Sub2 that differentiates it power-wise or otherwise as per sound reproduction ? I know about the dedicated volume, crossover, submatch capabilities. I'm speaking purely in terms of low end reproduction. THANKS !!
of course I meant 1,000 watts
Hi Tommy,
For low frequency reproduction specifically, here are the frequencies each L1 Pro system is capable of handling:
- L1 Pro8 - 45 Hz
- L1 Pro16 - 42 Hz
- L1 Pro32 with Sub1 - 40 Hz
- L1 Pro32 with Sub2 - 37 Hz
Hope this is useful!
Yea, I've read that.. but with the same driver and same amp, I'm figuring its the construction of the cabinet itself. Also.. if you could... I would most likely want two Sub2 for the cardiod feature,. Does the second B2 simply make it cardiod by canceling out behind the subs -without adding to the bass level out front, or does it add to the level out front also ?
Hi Tommy,
The new subs' cardioid feature is covered in more detail in this vid - skip ahead to 4:05.
