Getting two F1 Model 812, do I need the F1 Subwoofers too?

Hi all Since this is my first post let me apologise for any grammatical errors

I was looking into Getting two F1 Tops as my new main Speakers 

I just wanted to ask do you think I will need to Get The Subs too?

I currently do Small to Medium events with ~1000 people I am going to be using the speakers on poles on the edges of a 17ft stage in the big car park I will be using it mostly for trad bands and Public address 

the one thing I really need is for them to be properly heard considering the last speakers we had were 250w ones that were quite quiet  

would you say that I made the Correct Choice?

YOU... did the good choice ! 2 F1 are quite enough for 1.000 people, except if you need big bass for rock groups. But trad and public adress will be fine to hear about.

Hi !!  ... For approx 1000 pax there's no way 2 F1 tops can suffice IMHO.

a) The F1's won't have that throw/reach
b) Most definitely you'll need subs (at a minimum)
c) You could use delay speakers lower down in the car park (possible? ... to extend reach)? 
d) What kind/genre of Music you're playing? 
e) How loud is the perceived Music supposed to be? Just background Music and a few announcements, etc. If people are gonna be listening intently as in bands performing ... I'd look at a minimum of 2 stacks each side, that's 4 tops 4subs (again, the reach & throw is questionable). I'd still explore the possibility of delay speakers midway closer to the crowd.

I'd like to see how other's feel about this ...

I'd endorse Prakash's comments, you'll need more power than that. If you have a quiet listening audience you might just get away with it but if not, or it's windy no. On a paid job I'd be putting 10-20k watts into that for general music plus at least 8k of subs. You'll manage with less for predominantly acoustic music but not much. Bose kit does seem to bend the laws of physics a bit but you can only go so far.

FWIW I have played to 400 with a similar sized/powered rig to the one you're planning (2 x QSC K12 tops an a single sub) and it was a free gig. But it ain't going to hack it at a paid gig.

How often do you play these type of gigs? If it's only a couple of times a year do the job properly and hire in some suitable kit, if it's loads you need to up your budget, maybe by 10x.
