It has been an interesting since I upgraded my Bose computer to Windows 7.
Many positive benefits - it fully boots up in a quarter of the time and seems to run faster.
Still getting used to some of the new filing schemes like “libraries” but all in all, I like the update.
One problem that I ran across is that my Griffin iMic USB audio “dongle” does not work with Modeler any more.
For those of you who don’t use this “tool”, we found that when we traveled and wanted to “listen” to designs,
you could plug this compact USB device into your computer and Modeler would think that a Auditioner unit was plugged in and let you burn filters and listen to them using headphones. Not quite the same experience as listening to a playback unit but enough to tweak a design and easier to carry that a playback unit.
With the upgrade to W7, Modeler no longer recognizes the iMic unit. My computer recognizes it and I use it to get audio out of my computer and into my desktop speakers but Modeler ignores it. No matter what changes I do to the Control Panel settings, there is no green usb lite in the playback tab. Fortunately, the auditioner playback unit still works as designed.
Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix for it? I am using a Dell M4400 laptop running the W7 enterprise system.
Many Thanks,
Bruce
I found the same thing a year ago when I first installed 6.6 on a Win 7 machine. For me, Modeler recognized it and you could run the Auditioner filters, but it would not output audio to the iMic. I did not play around with it much but I never found a fix.

Hi all,
I found out that my external audio device (Tascam UH-7000) permits me to activate all the Auditioner features in Modeler 6.8 (I’m using Win 7).
All the features activate only if I connect my audio card AFTER opening a Modeler project: the USB led turn green, the media player opens and everything goes on.
Hope this helps.
Related (somewhat). I’m running a Win7 Pro VM Build on Mac OSX. I tried using the T1 in broadcast mode to output from Modeler. It did not recognize until I plugged in after the Modeler project was opened as well.
