Headphones for rehearsal

Good afternoon,

Would anyone happen to know if it is possible to listen to your Bose S1 through headphones only? This is for rehearsal purposes so I don't wake up the rest of the house.

Many thanks.

Hi, Tecnikal,

Thanks for the interesting question.

There isn't a headphone output on the S1 Pro so there isn't a way to connect headphones or disable the loudspeaker portion.

Excellent. That helps to know that.

All the best and many thanks for your reply.

Hi again, sorry to bring the subject back up, but there is a line out on the Bose S1. I know it doesn't stop the music coming out of the speaker, but would headphones work if I plugged them directly into Line out with a half inch connection?

Hi, Tecnikal.

The S1 Pro LINE OUT is balanced mono (1/4 inch (6.3 mm) Tip-Ring-Sleeve jack). That means the polarity of the left ear will be reversed compared to the right ear. However, you probably won't notice.  However, it may not be very loud.

Thanks ST. You have solved the problem for me and I: think It's solved.

I realised I had headphones and could just try it myself and it worked. However as you said it wasn't very loud. It had a mini TRS pluged into a half inch TRS converter so that I could fit it into the back of the S1.
