Help with L1 pro8 setups

I need help in setting up my new Bose L1 Pro8 with my other Bose PA systems. Currently I have 2 Bose S1 Pro and a Bose F1 sub connecting to my Yamaha G 10xu mixer. I used it mainly for karaoke. The room size is about 400 sf. I like the fact that I have stereo sound from my current set up and the bass from the F1 is amazing! I bought the new L1 because even though the stereo from the S1 sounds great, it seems a little flat. I want to continue with this current setup but I want to use the new L1 as a monitor to enhance the sounds. How do I go about with this setups? Current, I took out one my S1 and replaced it with my new L1 and using the remaining S1 as a monitor. The bass from the F1 seems less now despite I have already reduced the bass from the L1. What would be the best setups for my PA systems? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hey Pete,

Welcome to the forum! Thank you for joining. There are a few different ways you could set up these systems together, but I recommend the following:

  1. Connect the Yamaha MG10XU directly to the F1 subwoofer's line input.

  2. Connect one of the F1 sub's line outputs to the L1 Pro 8.

  3. Connect the other line output on the F1 sub to the S1 Pro.

  4. Select 'HPF' on the F1 sub's LINE OUTPUT EQ switch (pictured below, bottom right). This will ensure the low frequencies are being handled solely by the F1 sub, giving the overall sound more clarity in the mid frequencies.

Hope this helps!

Hi Dylan,

Thanks you for your suggestion. I have tried to connect the way you have suggested and it works!
