I use the T1 microphone stand clamp and bracket. Without it I'd be lost. Can't believe they stopped making them and also didn't make one for the T4
I've seen a mic stand adapter on eBay from time to time (look up Bose T1 mic stand), but I have yet to see one for the L1 column. It would seem so cheap for Bose to make and turn additional profit. 🤔
Mystery solved (my theory at least until I hear a more credible one). Why don't they just build what would be an insanely inexpensive bracket to mount the T4S to the L1 Model II and potentially sell more T4S's? My guess: Because not making a bracket speeds up the Model II's obsolescence and encourages sales of the new Pro L1s.
To anyone thinking "Bose would never do something like that", I would say: (1) Sure they would. They don't owe anybody anything. It would just be a business decision. And (2) I have happily owned and played through the Model I, the Model II, and the Compact since they came out. They won't lose my business over this. (Well, actually they did lose my business for a new T4S, but I don’t know if and when I would spring for a new Pro L1) 😉
It's all good. (Sure do wish they would chime in with an official response, though).
Hey joemusician!
As a feature request, suggestions such as this one are generally collated, reviewed and prioritised according to consumer demand.
Personally, I completely agree that an official Bose Mount for the T4S/T8S, to be used in conjunction with the L1 family of products would be quite beneficial. As a musician myself, the requirement for a surface (usually a desk or chair) on stage or otherwise reaching down to the floor is certainly not ideal.
I'll raise this feature request to the engineering teams from here, hopefully we will see this idea come to the market in the near future.
We truly appreciate your feedback!
Hi, David. Thank you so much for the response! 🙂
I do see that there seemed to be more demand for a mic stand adapter (which is available third party), than a tower adapter. I know I'm not alone, but I understand that if there's not enough demand it wouldn't make business sense. It just seems like such an easy and cheap thing to manufacture that would surely translate to more T4S sales (maybe I'm wrong?).
Either way thanks for feeding it back! Makes a happy Bose customer even happier. Rock on.
No problem! In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at page 11 in the T4S/T8S Owner's Guide for alternative mounting options.
