I have looped vocals in the past hooking another mic to my rc-30. But I have seen a couple performers loop vocals with there main vocal mic with L1 type 2 and T1 combo. How is this done? And does it cause a problem when I’m setting up a loop with my guitar while I’m singing?
Hi Edward,
Thank you for joining the Community. I'm glad you're here.
That's an interesting question and I think it boils down to:
Can I record a guitar loop (without capturing the vocal) if I'm singing at the same time - using only one microphone?
I used to have an Boss RC-30 and from what I recall, you cannot isolate the vocal microphone from the guitar or aux inputs when you create a phrase. Looking at the Boss RC-30 manual I couldn't see a way to do that.

Maybe the other performers were using a different loop device.
Maybe someone more familiar with the RC-30 will join the conversation.
