How to connect an old wave radio to bose powered speakers?

I have an old wave radio (model AWR1RG) and I want to connect it to a set of Bose Powered Acoustimass 20 speakers. The speakers come with a connecting cable with a DIN plug that fits the connector on the back of the radio (this connector has a musical note above it) - but doesn't seem to put any sound out to the speakers.

While your speaker does have a stereo RCA port to output audio to connected devices, the Jewel cube array speakers for your Acoustimass 20 system are not compatible. These Jewel speakers should be connected directly to the Acoustimass module from the corresponding system.
