How to lower direct monitoring while recording T4S

Hello! I'm currently recording vocals using a Rode nt1-a and my T4S Mixer as the audio interface and i need to know how to lower the direct monitoring of my vocals that i hear through the headphones. I can't hear the backing track i'm recording over due to the direct monitoring being so loud. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What you hear in the headphones should reflect the relative volumes (vocal and backing tracks).

When you playback the recording - is the vocal track significantly louder than the backing tracks?
