Intermittent Pops Bose L1 Model II

I’m getting intermittent loud popping sounds from my L1 Model II with B2 sub woofer. I was told by a tech that it is from the subwoofer amp. Another tech said I need to replace the Output Amp Board. I’m in B.C. Canada and the P.A. is approximately 7 years old.

Does this sound like the right fix and can I order this part from Bose?

Hey John,

Welcome to the forum! Can you tell whether the popping sounds are coming from just the L1 speaker array or just the B2 bass module?

Pretty sure it was just the bass module. But it’s all water under the bridge now. I got through to Bose support after a few tries and the guy offered me two solutions. Send in my amp for a fix and a one year warranty for $300 Canadian. Or order a new one for $500 CN with a two year warranty, plus tax. Shipping covered by Bose.
I went with the new amp option. Waiting now for delivery. Seems like a good deal to me. I got my L1 second hand in early 2015 and used it, along with a Yorkville 14-channel mixer, as the P.A. for my four piece band. It always did the job.
