Intermittent sound issue

Has anyone had an issue like this:

Had my L1 M1 with 2-B1 setup…no sound.
I recheck cables etc. everything fine
I take the tower apart and put it back together…only plug in one B1…was trying to determine if a B1 cable or module was the issue…then realized the tower should have sound without a B1 hooked up.

I think I’ve come to the conclusion there is an issue with the plastic connectors either in the power stand or either two between the two pieces of the tower. I am gentle with my equipment…doesn’t get abused…it all rides in a Yukon XL

Have there been issue with these connectors in the past…all the ears are intact…seems like a poor design when you have to set it up and tear it down 5 to 6 times a week.

Any thoughts???

Hi George,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I’ve had mine over 3 years without any problems, so I don’t believe what you are experiencing is a common problem. I know that doesn’t make it any less frustrating for you.

I would call tech support. From your post, I don’t see anything I could reccomend.

George james when u seat the first half u should hear a pop or a click sound. thats how i know its locked in and connected.

Hi George,

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the L1®. It reads like you have gone through some diagnostics on your own. It’s probably time to call L1® Support - they should be there today.

Scott…mines is less than a year old and like I said I am paranoid about my equipment…always handle everything with kid gloves…everyone tells me I’m OCD…oh well!

kevwebny…Yes, I always make sure I hear that sound and know it’s connected.

ST…I will call tech support…just thought I’d try here first…thanks you guys for the replies!

I'm using the L1 pro and daisy chaining it to the S1 pro.  I use the quarter inch jack on the back of the L1 and daisy it to the S1 XLR.  It does not happen all the time. But, enough to be annoying.  I sing strictly to backing tracks so I have not instruments hooked in. But I am using a small mixer and my computer.

What happens in the middle of the gig the S1 starts cutting out (sometimes not completely) but enough that you notice. You can adjust the sound and then it comes back on blaring.  I never use blue tooth but it seems like it might be searching or trying to connect for a while and the cuts out and comes back.  Sometime flipping the switch off and on helps. But I don't know if that is just a flute.

But don't know what to do to fix it.  I've tried server new cables and different connections.  Nothing seems to fix it permanently.  HELP???

Hi Chris!

Does this still happen if you connect your audio source to the S1 Pro first, then line out to the L1? Or even when using just the inputs on the S1 Pro without any daisy-chaining?

I recommend contacting the Bose customer support line for real-time support here, as it's possible there may be a fault with your S1 Pro system.
