Bose product name: F1 812 Flexible Array
Country: Madagascar
Firmware Version
I’ve bought the F1 812 Array Flexible speaker and the F1 subwoofer at Dubai in August 2019. When i play music, the speaker smells burning and the back is anormally hot. I use it With the Bose F1 subwoofer as DJ directly connected to my laptop. The speaker and the subwoofer are plugged in a tension regulator multisocket. The subwoofer has no issue so far only the F1 812 speaker has the issue of smelling burning.
i started to experience the issue the 25th December. Before it was Working perfectly. The last time it has ben used before the 25 December was the 19 December.
I have tried to locate Bose representative in Madagascar who can help, but didn’t find. The Bose resellers here Said they send back the items to Bose Shop in France When the customer has an issue.
i have contacted by phone the Bose shop in Dubai, they have asked me to send email, what I did before to call but they didn’t respond neither acknowledged receipt.
Many Thanks Dylan for your réponse and suggestions. I had contacted my régional team through thé email adresse provided on the Bose web site, but the email bounced back. I will keep trying to contact them.
Best regards, Henrico

Many thanks again. After several attempts, I received the message below from Bose Dubai
"Please note that we do not have a representative in Madagascar. You therefore need to bring the system to Dubai".
This raise the issue of the worthiness of buying Bose materials compared to what can be found in the market. Indeed, given the price (US$2,545) and the risk for not having any support because there is no representative in your country of residence. For people leaving in countries where there is no Bose representative, it is better to invest in other sound system like Sony, Samsung, JBL, Pionneer, Yamaha etc.. With the price of the Loudspeaker and the subwoofer, you can get a good soundsystem of which you can get support in your country of residence with at least a same quality of sound than a bose system and even better. In reality I was not impressed with the sound of the F1 812 and the subwoofer , I found in the market better.
