Some of the knobs on my T1 have become sticky, like the rubber has broken down a bit. Anyone else experience this? Are are the knobs replaceable and how/where would I go to get them? Thanks.
Some of the rubber knobs on my T1 have become sticky as well...

The knobs on my Volvo radio and the vent louver control developed the same tackiness ... try using isopropyl alcohol on a cloth or paper towel. Had to keep rubbing for a few minutes, occasionally adding more alcohol, but the knobs came out like new.
I have the same problem and Bose Australia are replacing them.
Ronson cigarette lighter fluid will rid you of that, but you will have wait two weeks for it to safely be dried.
I have the same problem. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks everyone... all good ideas. I'm guessing the sticky knobs started up from sitting in the sun too long. I always try to keep the T1 out of direct sunlight, but I'm thinking that is was caused it.
I ended up calling Bose and ordered new ones. It came in a 3 pack for just over $8. I think they would have covered them had my unit been less than a year old.
Frank.
All, I received the new knobs yesterday and I'm happy to report, $8 and a week later, my T1 is good as new.
New replacement knobs are just going to have the same problem in time...
Remove the existing sticky ones and clean them using Ballistol Universal Oil and a clean dry cotton cloth - be sure to wipe them thoroughly dry of oil after treatment, and re-install.
