Hello NoZzer,

You don't mention which L1 Bass speaker you have, the B1 or B2.

The B1 has two 6" woofers, weighs 25.1 pounds (11.4 kg), and measures 15"H x 10.25"W x 17.75"D (38 cm x 26 cm x 45 cm).

The B2 has two 10" woofers, weighs 45 pounds, and measures 23.4"H x 13.31"W x 18.9"D (59.4 cm x 33.8 cm x 48 cm).  It has a /Normal/- "Bass Level" switch on the rear, to change voicing when used with an L1 Model II or 1S system.  This switch only signals a Model II or 1S to send a particular EQ curve to its "Bass Module Out" jack; the switch is ignored with any other system.

The B1 is an 8 ohm speaker, rated at 125 watts (250W at 4 ohms if you connect two in parallel); the B2 is a 4 ohm speaker, rated at 250 watts.  These speakers are designed to be used with the L1 systems, and as such, have no protection circuits built-in (protection is provided by the L1.)

To answer your question directly, I have no specific recommendation.  Just use a standard audio power amp rated at about 125 watts into 8 Ohms or 250 watts into 4 Ohms.  Remember, there is no protection in either speaker, so the risk of damage is greater than with other bass speakers.  Both speakers systems were optimized for frequency response from 40Hz-200Hz, so set your crossover accordingly.  (It will reproduce higher and lower frequencies, but they won't be as loud -- and will challenge the speaker's capabilities),

Does that help?
