I mostly listen to equipment to make a decision about quality. However, I was recently asked by a performer if my Bose L1 Compact has any digital signal processing. After reading manuals and a few wiki's, I am still not sure. My recollection from a salesperson is that the line-in (channel II with tonematch to OFF) is an analog path, and that there is some sort of limiter at some point in the chain to protect the speakers - but the limiter is also analog.
So the questions are - L1 Compact:
- Is there any digital processing of the primary signal from line-in all the way to the speakers - or is the signal path all analog?
- If so, is there a way to disable digitizing of the signal path (and still have limiting, of course)?
- If there is a doc about the digital processing (or lack of it), please send a link (I couldn't find one).
