L1 model 1 classic

Does anyone know how to connect T1 with 2 L1 classic. I just need to be sure not damage anything.

Best regards,

Sid

Hi Sid,

If you want the same sound coming from both L1®s, this is easy.

Connect the

T1® to first L1®

  • T1® Master Output to
  • The first L1® Channel 1
    • Set the Preset to 00
    • Set the Input trim so even when you have the T1® Master Volume turned up, the light is solid green. Occasional red flickers are okay.
    • Connect an XLR cable (microphone cable) from Channel 1 LINE OUT to
  • The second L1® Channel 1

    • Set the Preset to 00
    • Set the Input trim so even when you have the T1® Master Volume turned up, the light is solid green. Occasional red flickers are okay.
    • Note: the Trim will be lower than on the first L1®.

DO NOT use a spitter out of the T1® to both L1®s.  The sound from the two L1®s (especially the bass) will tend to cancel each other out.

All set?

Hi Sid,

You can connect everything as you normally would with the T1 and the L1 Classic. Lets say you connect that to Channel 1.

Now you have two choices.

Choice 1

  1. T1 Master Output to L1 Classic
  2. L1 Classic channel 1 LINE OUT to
  3. Behringer B1200D to
  4. S1 Pro

Choice 2

  1. T1 Master Output to L1 Classic
  2. T1 Aux Output to
  3. Behringer B1200D to
  4. S1 Pro

For step 2 T1 Aux Output, you will have to set up your inputs to route them to the Aux Output.

Take some time before the show to try it both ways. They should both sound fine. But you may prefer one over the other because of the way you control the volume.

@Sid , I use:

http://superunix.com

First, you need to find a way to clamp the gaps together. I would personally use ratchet straps. Practice with them first, as the Super Unix glue/gel sets relatively fast. The new bond will be by permanent.

Lashing straps are less expensive, but are a bit tricker in getting the clamping presseure:

Thank you,

I ordered that glue online -

The glue in question states it will not mend polypropylene. I think the Classic base housing is polypropylene. Please research and confirm.

O..

Hi cpolen350,

Welcome to the Bose Portable PA Community.  I'm glad you found us.

Were you getting feedback from the guitar or vocal mic(s) or both?

Are you using the ToneMatch Presets? Which ones?

Did you try using the R1 Remote tone controls?

Hello! Thanks for answering! Was guitar only. Was using Preset for Taylor - was playing a Seagull. Didn't adjust anything on the Remote - guy from audience suggested I turn everything up a bit and only the guitar was giving me trouble.

Here are some suggestions.

  • Put a little more distance between the guitar and the B1 bass module
  • If the Seagull has tone controls, turn down the bass
  • On the R1 Remote, turn down the bass
  • Try different ToneMatch Presets for example
    • If you are using a Taylor Preset that includes the term "Finger", try a different one that says "Strum" (the strum Presets are less bassy)
  • Try a sound hole feedback buster

Does that help?

Hi All,

I know this a old thread.

But, just for the record I wanted to suggest this small change.

since master out of t1 is line level TRS signal and L1 classic channel 1/2 accept xlr or TS signal .. I think it makes sense to put some pad at master out t1 .. To bring line level to mic level at classic when using trs to xlr cable..

ofcourse I am not an expert but to me adding pad makes logical sense ..

thanks
