Anyone got any ideas how to get the best out of these units please?
I have 2 L1 model 11’s, 2 T1’s and 4 B1’s.
I want to be able to hear all the following items through both systems.
Yamaha DGX620 keyboard
Yamaha DGX205 keyboard
Gibson Hummingbird via Line6 radio pack
Deering tenor banjo (wired at the moment but prefer a radio pack)
Audio technica radio mic
Plus 3 mic’s(say SM58’s for arguments sake)
And an iPad
Keyboard player and guitar/banjo player both do vocals. We also have 2 female singers and sometimes a drummer though he doesn’t really need to be through the system.
Keyboard player also plays accordion which he can use his vocal mic for though at some point, he is looking to use a radio pack in order to go offstage.
Thanks in anticipation
Graham
I’m copying in your post from the Ask Bose For Help forum so that we have all the information in one place.

I have 2 L1 model 11. Both with 2 B1 speakers. I put keyboards and mics through system A and guitars and more mics through system B. I then use balanced cables to link the outputs from each tonematch into opposite power stands. This works well apart from the fact I can’t get the output from system B to match the output from system A and vice versa. Basic problem is the guitar volume is fine in its own system and I can balance the volume via the volume control on the keyboard power stand but in doing so it upsets the balance of the keyboards and the same if I do it the other way round.what I’m trying to say is, I can’t get the volume of the guitar or the keyboards to be the same in both units. They always seem a bit lower through their opposite units and whilst the volumes on the power stand will even the volumes up for one instruments, when I try to even the volumes for the other instruments, it upsets the volume of the first. Please help if anyone understands my waffling as it’s getting frustrating.

Hi Graham,
I would set up like I showed you in the sketch above (with no analog connections to the Power Stands). You can do some fine tuning by moving things around a bit. In all but a few cases I would expect that to work and sound better than any arrangement where the T1®s are connected to two Modell systems.
About this…

I don’t think so, but you will have more control. Here are some notes about using
T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Aux Output

Hi
Some of the venues are quite wide and deep so placing the systems near each other wouldn’t get the spread we would need
I know that double mono is not best but I can’t see a way round it in some situations also considering that we can’t get the systems far enough back for all the band to be able to hear everything
Thanks

The additional spread you get is just the distance between the Model IIs. That is if you have them behind you, 10 feet apart as a baseline… if you move them so they are 20 feet apart, you gain 10 feet. You don’t gain much.

You don’t need the L1®s to be very far behind the performer. If the L1®s are close together - say 5-10 feet apart, that’s about all you need between the L1®s and the performers - 5-10 feet.
I do understand that sometimes you just don’t have the room. This was the kind of situation I mentioned above when I said, ". In all but a few cases I would expect that to work and sound better than any arrangement where the T1®s are connected to two Model II systems. "
If you’re going to cross-wire the two systems together then you want at least 20 feet between them. That should cut down the interactions between them that may be causing some strange results. See Multiple Source Interference for more about that.
I’d start by ensuring that the systems are spaced at least 20 feet apart. Then if necessary, start experimenting with Aux. to see if that helps.
Hi’ I’m trying to find out if the ux out of t1’s are stereo or mono
thanks in advance
Hi gen_ii,
If you mean the Aux output; it is MONO. It accepts a ¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve balanced connection or a ¼ inch jack Tip-Sleeve unbalanced connection.
Here are some notes:
T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Aux Output

Does that help?
that helps with aux out. can channels be tailored to main output. thanks

All T1® Channels are routed to Main Output and the ToneMatch® port. You can control how much signal from each channel gets through to those outputs with the individual channel Volume controls and channel Mute buttons.
Why do you ask?
