L1 Model 2 Connecting to Mac Book to play live stream on youtube

Hi All

We have a L1 Model 2 with T1, Normally the system is used to play to a live audience however due to Covid-19 my wife needs to play live stream indian bajan / prayers music on Youtube.

Following Set Up

Single L1 Model 2 with T1 and B1 Bass

Single female vocal singer

Using ipad for background music

Using Mac Book Pro which has some of the following ports

Two USB 2.0 ports (up to 480 Mbps),

one FireWire 800 (up to 800 Mbps),

Mini DisplayPort

Combined optical digital output/headphone out with selectable analog audio line in (minijack).

With the onboard camera  and microphone she can stream live video and music which is captured by the microphone but it is distorted.

We need a guidance on the  connection settings so the vocal singing music & back round music is directly streamed through the Mac Book Pro and the video captured via the onboard camera.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank You

Kan

Hi Kan and welcome to the Bose Pro-Portable Community!

To achieve the setup you need, connect the T1 ToneMatch to your Macbook Pro via USB and under "Prefs", select the option "USB to PC". Your computer should recognise the T1 as an Audio Device and accept the audio signal of the T1's master output as an audio input.

Please see this article for a complete guide using the T1 with your computer - https://toonz.ca/bose/wiki/index.php?title=T1_ToneMatch®_Audio_Engine_/_USB

Once the T1 is correctly outputting the audio signal to your Macbook, you will be able to send this signal to most (if not all) live streaming services. A side note, you do not need the L1 Model II and B1 to achieve this setup.

Let me know if this helps

David_G, the link you supplied is broken.

Hi Rikart,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the link on my previous post. It does seem to be working for me so that is odd.

Alternatively, you can reach the article and more at www.toonz.ca. You will see the T1 ToneMatch Audio Engine listed on the left of the website, and subsequently you will see a lot of instructional content for the T1 including the guide to achieve the "USB to PC" setup that I described previously.

I hope this helps!
