I see that the Pro 16 has the drivers in the J configuration. This configuration can also be achieved on the F1 812, however there is an eq signature change when the F1 812 is placed in the J configuration. Does the Pro 16 share that same eq signature out of the box?
Also I did a side by side comparison against the Evolve 50. The Pro 16 sounded muffled compared to the EV. There was little to no high end from the Pro 16. Are there any tonematch presets to tackle that problem?
I have 2 L1Pro16. They are extremely clear. Not muffled at all.
That's why I bought them. The clearest system I have heard so far. Incredible detail.
I play keyboard and sing.
I tried different settings and ended up setting the system EQ to music (button on back).
Everything came alive. My Keyboard and my voice.
The Live stetting sounded muffled to me too.
The off setting has no life.
Try different settings and see what you like.

Take into account that the EV50 is effectively a "point source" speaker due to the short array of only 8 drivers- all pointed straight ahead. So you'll get blasted with more high end when in front of the speaker. The Pro16 spreads the high end left and right, plus the longer array won't blast you with as much high end when closer to the speaker.
