Hi jdycus!
Make sure the array extension is firmly connected - the array doesn't audibly 'click' into place but it should be clear when it's seated securely. At the same time, this should not require excessive force.
If you feel there is an issue with your system, please contact your regional Bose support team for on-call assistance.
Agreed, Dylan.
I noticed that if the spacer is not firmly seated, the tweeter array is dead but the sub unit works.
I think when Bose designed this, they created very exacting standards and specs for the molding shop. I solved the issue by seating the spacer unit, and then pushing down firmly, with a little extra force toward the front grill of the bass unit - if you get what I'm saying. In other words, press the spacer down more toward the grill face of the sub versus the rear part of the sub. I think the electrical connections happen in the front of the spacer, not the back.
On occasion, I'll give the spacer a gentle tap with my palm, just to finally seat it. After the tweeter is placed, the tower feels flimsy but it's not. It won't fall apart. I find it difficult to pull the tweeter array and spacer apart. So, they're in there well!
One other hint. I always remove the tweeter array from the spacer by grabbing the tweeter array well above the Bose logo. At first, I grabbed it below and due to the shear weight of the tweeter array, I almost dropped it!! So grab it above the logo 👍.
All good advice. Thank you.
