Size wise, it looks like the Pro32 will be able to fit on top of a Sub 1 or 2 with the sub on its side.
Has this been tried during testing or is the vibration too much?
As a DJ, this would be nice to be able to do it this way.
Thanks in advance

Hi Scott,
I've been waiting on a more official response, but I guess there are no officials posting anymore.
I remember this question from early after the introduction of the Model II. I don't really recall an official answer there either, but I believe the consensus was why take a chance on vibrating componenets loose, ... unless it was absolutely necessary.
This time around I think there is a difference. The Pro 8 and the Pro 16 are built on subs similar to the Sub 1 and Sub 2 respectively. If they can perform without vibrating componenets loose then I don't see why you can't put a Pro 32 on top of either a Sub 1 or 2.
They offer a screw in pole mount that would certainly transfer some vibration to the mounted speaker. That also suggests minimum risk to electronics.
Keep in mind this is an unofficial response.

Thanks Oldghm,
Yes I do recall the topic from years ago. Also I understand your response isn't official, but it is appreciated.
As you mentioned, it is different now. I also wonder is the size and weight difference of the Pro32 base and the new subs would make a difference here too.
Hi Scott,
Just thinking out loud.
Bass cabinets need need to have a certain amount of mass just to stay in place when they are in use. They also need to be manageable by an individual loading them in and out of auto trunks and the back of SUV's.
I would imagine that engineers try to strike a balance between heavy enough but not too heavy.
I would expect as far as the effect on peripheral equipment from vibration there is not a lot of difference between the two new subs. The one with the greater output is also heavier.
Just one man's opinion.

Hi Scott,
The link below has some specs that contradict my thoughts expressed above.
The Pro 8 has the same size driver as the Sub 1, but is only rated at half the power.
Specs are in the link below.
