L1 Pro32 with Sub2 Review

Greetings All; I just purchased two L1 Pro32 with Sub2 and T4S.  It took me a while to get it setup the way I like my sound so I went to the forums and looked at some old notes and made some adjustments.   I haven’t used the L1 systems in a few years since I let my old model II system go and the original PAS.

Now for the sound, simply put, amazing.  I put on one of my favorite R&B artists, Mariah Carey (I don’t wanna cry) and the detailed mids and highs brought a seemly live audience right into my office where I have it setup. I walked through the house and the detailed sound never dropped off, even my wife was floored by the sound she was hearing.  You can hear instruments that you couldn’t on conventional loudspeakers and it is so clean it’s amazing. The bass is not overpowering like I remember when I had my L1 Model II with four B2 bass modules.  When I had that system, I stacked all four subs on top of each other and the bass behind the cabinets where my DJ controller was setup, would give you a headache but I like the sound and so did my audience.

I haven’t had an opportunity to take my system out yet as I don’t have anything booked due to this COVID situation we are all dealing with but hopefully soon I will get a chance to do a full review of my experience in a live setting here in Las Vegas.

This is the most expensive system I’ve ever purchased for mobile DJ gigs but I think it’s worth it if you can afford it.  I am a true believer in you pay for what you get.  For now, two more Sub2 modules are on order so my system will be complete.

More to follow.

Congrats on the new gear!  My stretch goal is to acquire a Pro32 one day.  I have a Pro8 and I'm so happy with it.  I too had to play around with different settings on the L1 and T4S in order to get the best sound out of my acoustic guitars.  But once you have it dialed in you can save your "scenes."  I also had an L1 Model 1S with a B2.  I hauled that thing around to a lot of places and don't miss carrying the B2.

Its amazing how great the L1s sound both up close and far away.  I'm not a DJ but I know what you mean about the detail in sound and it not dropping off as you move away from it.  Your audience probably appreciates it too.  Best of luck with your new system and hope you are out there gigging soon.

Thanks Jay; my other two Sub2's are on the way, I got my tracking numbers.  I cannot wait to take the entire system out and stack my subs 2X2 to see how they sound cranked up.  Too bad they don't make longer cables for the subs to connect the power stand.

Thanks for the review. I'm a Wedding DJ, long time user of L1m2, compacts, and model 1's before that. Have t4s and s1pro 's too

Will be upgrading to the 32's when gigs start happening again.

I am jealous!

I am so interested in what the combination will sound like.
I have scoured the web/YouTube looking for a video review of the setup at a real gig/function.

It is a lot of money, and I will like to hear it before I invest.
