Logging In

Hello,

Although I have had my two S1 Pro's for well over twelve months (and excellent they are too), and having been an active contributor to the old forum, I have recently been unable to login, since changing my web browser to Google Chrome. Here is a screen shot of the error message.

Today I have managed to log in successfully using Apple Safari.

I am trying to totally divorce myself from Apple, so can anyone help with this Google Chrome logging in issue.

Thank you.....Brian

Hey onemanband!

Thank you for your post, sorry you're seeing this problem.

I recommend trying to log in using an incognito browser window, and clearing the cache and cookies in your Google Chrome browser settings to see if this resolves the issue.

Hope this helps!

I too have been facing a problem logging into the new Site since the past 4 to 5 months. Even after I'd enter my username & password, it would ask me to fill in a couple of additional informational fields but then refuse to move forward.

I was almost pulling my hair out (luckily I'm bald) 🙂

Anyways, tried logging in today on a lark & it took me right in. Felt so good to be back. 🙂

Everything feels so different & new in the layout. I've also stopped getting emails re queries posted by users on a daily basis (for the S1 forum) since the past 4 to 5 months. Still wondering how to reactivate that.

I have been trying since day one to get those emails to start showing up again and nobody has been able to help. The entire site is not user friendly and seems to have lots of glitches. One example is when you sign you can check the box to keep yourself signed in and it never does it. I never had to re-sign in on the old site and I always do on the new one. I would love to have the excellent experience that I had on the old site, but so far it's mostly frustration. If you find out how to get those emails restarted, please let me know and good luck.

Michael

Hi drux53!

Thank you for your comment. We appreciate your feedback in regard to the 'stay logged in' feature - this is something we are currently looking into.

You can "Subscribe" to email alerts under the Forum Options menu:

This should give you the same email updates you're used to receiving.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, however I have clicked on SUBSCRIBE weeks ago, it now shows UNSUBSCRIBE so I must have done it correctly, and I have not received a single email. On the old site I would get 3-5 emails a day. For some reason all of the solutions I have been given only work in the minds of the developers. This site doesn't even seem like a beta test, more like a pre, pre, beta. Very unsatisfying for those of us that used to enjoy being part of this community. I rarely even check this site anymore since it is so glitchy. Thanks again for trying.

Michael

Hi Michael,

It appears I have attached an incorrect screenshot here - my apologies. To subscribe to updates on the forum in general, select "Subscribe to RSS Feed" under Forum Options on the main Portable PA page:

Thank you, apparently I need an rss app to get these on a Mac in Safari. Is there one you would recommend.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

We would not recommend any in particular - I'd advise researching possible options online.

Opening to community users - anyone have any specific recommendations for a Safari RSS app?
