where can i order new control knobs for my T1,
i have read many comments in the forums and these knobs should be replaced free of charge, it is definately a Bose defect. the knob looks like its melting.
I agree. Time to change to new knobs.
I’ve put up with melting knobs for years and now I can’t even touch them at a gig without getting sticky fingers that ruin my playing.
I have 4 Tonematch units and I’m in Sydney Australia. Can Bose please send me some new ones free of charge?

Hi valvenerd,
You can post a note in the Ask Bose For Help forum.
They will probably not get back to you Monday in Boston MA, USA.

I cleaned my knobs with mild dish washing detergent and a soft cloth.
Took a bit of scrubbing, the the goo came off.
The knob underneath looks fine…not like it has deteriorated.
Used the below tool to remove them, that was the hard part.
By the way…I called tech support about the issue a year ago, or more.
The new knobs were 75 cents each…no biggie.
But at that time, I was afraid to take them off.
I’d tried just pulling them straight off, but they wouldn’t budge.
The tack puller worked great, it on one side, my fingernail under the other.
Popped right off, and easily back on.
I think vinegar might have worked too, maybe better, it cures about anything.
Finally got round to returning three of my T1’s to Bose for replacement knobs which were very tacky.
They readily agreed to replace them but didn’t have enough buttons in stock. So they offered to clean them up with ULS solvent cleaner.
Right before my eyes they removed the buttons the tacky coating was rubbed away and the surface underneath was clean pristine plastic. I was very happy with the results.
There was no charge for this service.
…and now that I can touch those buttons again I’ve re-discovered my scenes and settings.
Wow, it’s fantastic to be able to dial up new settings!
Bliss.
Digital…good.
Hi Drumr,
I found that I was able to pull them off when I wore kitchen rubber gloves to help me to get a good grip. It was easier for the second and third than the first.
