Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce
I am unable to get the mic to work when hooked into the PS5 controller. I have tried 2 different controllers and different headsets. Both are updated and charged. The headset works on the PC but not when connected to SONY ps5
Hello Torerazojr,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear that you are unable to get the headset to work with your PS5.
We have had some great user feedback on our headset and the PS5 so it's strange that this isn't working for you. Can you please let me know if you have attempted to look into the settings menu for the PS5 to ensure that you have the party routing correctly set up, as I have seen users have this set incorrectly?
Please also ensure that the mute button isn't set to mute on the in-line cable.
I look forward to hearing back from you with further information.
I have gone through the ps5 mic settings and still nothing. Switching controllers has not helped either. The online mic is not disabled since it works on the pc with no issues. The mic is connected directly into the controller.

Thanks for updating us on this.
When you state that you have used the controller with two different headset's were they both the Bose QC35II Gaming Headset?
Let's go ahead and perform a reset on the headset by following these steps below:
- Power off your product
- Wait 30 seconds
- Connect your product to a wall outlet using a USB charger
- Wait five seconds
- Disconnect the USB cable from the headset
- Wait one minute
- Power on your product.
We look forward to hearing back from you with further information.
I am still having issues. I have tried your reset method various times, replacing both the headset and the controllers. Neither works. I think it is safe to assume that the microphone for a gaming headset does not work on a flagship gaming system??
Sorry to hear this. The QC35 II Gaming Headset is certainly compatible with the PS5 as I use the headset myself with this console and have not experienced this issue. We'll do all we can to get this resolved.
To confirm, is the mic mute switch in the down position? A red crescent can be seen above the switch if it is muted.
Have you been able to use a headset with a microphone on the console before?
