I am a single musician who performs in small venues. i currently have the a voice live acoustic which I feed to a yamaha mixer then to the bose l1 compact. I am satisfied with the setup but I am always looking to condense equipment for ease of setup and compatibility, without sacrificing sound quality. I am considering replacing the yamaha mixer with a bose t product but I'm unsure as to which would be the best fit. I don't have a great need for a lot of inputs I mostly look for user friendliness and sound quality. I would appreciate your input as to which product would be the best fit..... the T1., T4. or T8
Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.
Please tell us more about the inputs you will have for the ToneMatch mixer. All the ToneMatch mixers are similar in terms of sound, ease of use, functionality, and compact size for what you get.
The T4S and T8S will give you stereo. You don't need that with the L1® Compact but you'll appreciate it if you get a second one.
The T4S and T8S give you the option on reverb on the Aux 1 output. You'll appreciate that if you get an S1 Pro or something similar for a monitor.
The T4S and T8S have more control of your EQ with a three-band parametric EQ for each channel.
The T1® has three full combo inputs for channels 1, 2, 3. These can handle microphones and instruments with very-low up to line-level outputs. Channel 4/5 is one channel with two input jacks. This is for line-level inputs like a keyboard that have stereo outputs. You can also use this for guitars that have preamps built-in.
The T4S has four full combo inputs for channels 1, 2, 3, 4. They are like channels 1, 2, 3 on the T1®. The T4S has two more Aux inputs. These are similar to T1® channel 4/5 although you can pan them Left and Right.
