Well, I CAN still get my guitar, bass, pedalboard and other toys, mic stand, guitar stands, AER Tommy Emmanual Amp and either a JBL EON ONE or 2 Bose S1s in my Miata.
But have to borrow the kid's Jeep if I want to carry more.
I can haul everything including a full PA system with monitors @stands, 2 guitar amps, one bass amp 3 guitars, 1 bass guitar and a Tama Cocktail Drum Kit and one passenger in my 2016 Ford Focus sedan. I can haul 1 Bose, 1 'ukulele, 1 u-bass, 1 Behringer 1002B battery powered mixer, 4 Samson compact microphone boom stands and associated cables and DI boxes along with 1 passenger wearing my Bose S1 backpack on my wife's Yamaha Vino 50CC scooter.
Actually we use a Kia Soul with the seats down when using our L1M2 B1s setup. We can keep one of the back seats up when using the S1. It surprised us how much cargo the Soul could handle.
My Corolla carries everything (which is not much). Of course it's easy with the S1, guitar(s), mic stands (one for my iPad). When I take the L1M2 and 2B1's out I need to fold down the rear seat to fit the columns (the case is what needs the space). One backpack with cables, odds and sods, and I'm good to go!
I don't like carrying my guitars in the trunk -- they go in the leg space behind the front seats.
