My 700s are skipping, sputtering, or 'blocking' every now and then. It is quite jarring at times. I am connected to my iPad and I am not connected to any other devices. I have owned them for a little over a month and this has just started more frequently now! What steps should I take here? Thanks and looking forward to your response!
That seems quite strange! Do you keep your headphones connected within the recommended range of 30ft?
What I'd recommend trying is to clear the pairing list on your product as shown HERE, and also attempting a reset on the product as shown HERE. Let me know if you notice any improvement!
I am having the same challenge when I am connected to my MAC Pro. However when I connect with my iPhone (X), all is good. I have tried all types of disconnecting and connecting, pairing, ensuring only paired to one - as with the computer and not the phone.
What gives? This just does not seem correct. By the way - all the recommendations below did not help.
, As you mentioned this seemed to start with an update around 6 months ago, have you installed the latest update to your headphones as well? You can check for any available updates using our Device Updater on a computer. If you go to the link on a computer, and follow the on-screen instructions it will walk you through the process!
I tried the device updater but it confirmed that I have the latest Version 1.8.2 but still have the same skipping problem when I add a second device. I didn't have that problem about 6 months ago. Seen this reported on many forums. Let me know what other options are available or when an update is expected.
6 months ago is about the May/June time frame when the 1.4.12 firmware was out, that was when more people started reporting issues until eventually the firmware was pulled and then replaced with 1.5 in July. just feedback to the engineering team to open up downgrade of firmware 1.3.1 when the NC700 is of the best stability.
Also, the standard advice of "make sure the headset firmware and software is up to date" is not a good advice by any measure since Bose no longer maintain a good quality firmware releases since 6 months back. i sincerely hope Bose will realised this is breaking customer's confidence in your ability to release good QUALITY product and updates.
