NC700 Update not possible

So i just got the NC700. 

 

I see the fiasco with FM V1.4...  cool.    I see in the update post stickied at the top of this forum that V 1.5 is out now.  

 

....why is the app not auto-updating to 1.5?   Is that not a thing now, and Bose just hasn't told anyone?   I'm sitting on 1.3.  

 

ALSO - the app itself... i see other people have an equalizer and sound settings, among other features and my app is rather... featureless.  The sound isn't as good as my QC35 i upgraded from...  Why do i have a feature poor app while others have a feature rich app?

When will firmware update be available to upgrade past 1.3.1 again?

Sony XM4's are sounding smooth and "just work"....hope Bose can fix this ASAP.

While I understand that some users may have reported issues with firmware version supporting equalizer version , it would have been great if Bose could come up with an update that disables the equalizer feature or so. 

By not doing so, what has happened is you have exposed again to the issues reported with firmware 1.3.1 and some users running 1.3.1 and some 1.4.12 and some  1.5.1 , its not really giving same user experience to NC 700 user community. 

 

What happened in my case is , I has headphones with equalizer and they had to replaced and now I got the headphones  with 1.3.1 which does not have that feature. 

 

I think Bose should prioritize coming up with new firmware to have consistent user experience. 

Hope this makes sense to product management
